The relics of Saint Solenne are deposited in Saint-Louis Cathedral, where a crypt has been created to house his tomb.
A first building was erected around 450 opposite the castle. In the 10th century, the relics of Saint Solenne were deposited there and a crypt was built as the saint's tomb. The minister of Louis XIV, Colbert, had it rebuilt after the passage of the hurricane in 1678 thanks to his wife who was from Blois. The bombings during the Second World War caused important damages which required new restorations and the installation of contemporary stained glasses.
