Following Combreux, the Orleans canal cuts the city in two. With its 1 340 m reach, in the middle of its course, the water games for the boats are going well and the locks are drinking. The church of Saint-Médard (11th-15th centuries) has a 17th century altarpiece by the Orléans painter Pierre Poncet (1612-1659). Two castles: the 15th century one of Vaux, and the 18th century one of Plessis-Loiret where you can also stay. A horse farm and forest paths offer other horizons. A good opportunity to discover the birthplace of the academician Frédéric Vitoux (1944) and the death of Henri I, king of the Franks (1008-1060).
