The old town is built on an archaeological site. Excavations helped to update the foundations of a sanctuary, six temples and Gallo-Roman thermal Baths. But this ensemble has almost disappeared as a result of the work necessary for the development of the commune. Only the thermal baths are still visible. Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais Church offers an interesting visit: it is built on a mérovingien cemetery, part of which dates back to the th century. As for the plane aisle, it was planted 250 years ago by the academic Henry Duhamel of the Monceau (one can also see the castle in Dadonville). Today it offers a pleasant walk.
