Located in the north of the Loiret department, on the border of Essonne and Seine-et-Marne, between Beauce, Brie and Gâtinais, this small town was called Soisy-le-Bois-Malesherbes until the Revolution. Its history is closely linked to its castle, whose successive owners were dignitaries of the kings of France. In addition to its castles (privately owned) and its church, you can find an old washhouse of the eighteenth in the square of Tanners, the oratory of Trézan, and the door of the former botanical garden of Monsieur de Malesherbes. In the town centre, the Walnut Garden consists of a landscaped park and a vegetable garden.
