What will first seduce you here is the framework. In this small restaurant (only in appearance, there is a large hidden vaulted room), the new owners wanted to recreate a 1920 atmosphere, between prohibition and crazy years. Benches for one, wooden chairs for others, the frame is beautifully laid. A table can be chosen for the menu or the «palettes», large toast accompanied by salad that will satisfy you for a lunch break. Here, everything is house and everything is season, so the card changes permanently. You can get your eyes closed, you won't be disappointed. All the same as the reception is very nice.

This restaurant is first for its décor, which can give the impression of being on holiday in the mountains. Conveyors, fondues, famous, cheese crusts, crozets, white wine and salads form the main part of the map. Some are interested in prices: the first formula is indeed very affordable. However, we were not enthusiastic about the tartiflette that was served. Visibly heated, it was dry. This was our second step in this establishment, to achieve the same conclusion. This restaurant has an exceptional decoration, all made of wood, but it is not enough.

Courtepaille can be proud of this establishment of Montargis Centre, recently seen as the 50 th anniversary of the national sign in 2011, but very well maintained from the beginning. The address is always timed for stunned and eternal retardataires since the service is continuous until 23 hours. We appreciate the great classics of the card, with the little more meat cooked in the chimney, which is complemented by a few fish dishes, for possible récalcitrants to beef. The suggestions of the moment are very welcome for those who often return to this sign.

A small sandwich that offers the possibility to stop at any time of the day for a coffee break, always offered with a pastry, or for a lunch break (salted pancakes, oak, salads, etc.) with this little plus which makes all the difference for demanding consumers (which is normal): All ingredients are fresh, up to bread, delivered several times a day by a nearby baker.

The dining room offers a little old-fashioned charm, which would be called a vieillot if special attention was paid to keep it fresh and light. Here, the service is attentive and is seduced by a lobster salad in the taste of the day and its dressing of crustaceans, or by the ris and kidney of veal in the Chinon wine. The wine list, specifically, offers regional varieties but also large wines. Here we take its time to taste, savour and treat its papilles.
