Good news for the inhabitants of Montargis and for everyone living within a 100 km radius and in need of a nice cultural moment: the GIrodet museum reopens its doors to the public on the occasion of the deconfinement. This cultural place of exemption is endowed with an important and rich collection of ancient art, and proposes to plunge into the heart of the work and life of Anne-Louis Girodet-Trioson, born in Montargis in 1767. We discover the key moments of her career, her taste for illustration and her talents as a draughtswoman. The most touching part of the collection are the portraits of the Trioson family, whose father was the artist's guardian and then adoptive father. More information on the website of the Girodet Museum
