Guillaume de Lorris, author of the first part of the Roman de la Rose, and the church of Notre-Dame, a moving testament to Romanesque art, have been talking to us since the 13th century. Its organ, recently restored, has been playing for half a millennium: to say it's worth a visit would be a tall order. Finally, two museums occupy this town of 3,000 inhabitants: the Georges Lemoine watchmaking museum, which deals with the passing of time with all its ticking and beating, and the Musée de la Résistance et de la Déportation (Resistance and Deportation Museum), which makes sure we don't forget the difficult and terrible times of the Second World War. An oak hall also catches the eye.
