With its stone bridge built at the beginning of the XIIIth century, Jargeau, a Johannine city and "capital of the andouille", offers a Mardi Gras carnival. Various fairs and festivities in favor of food products such as gergolien, women's tongues or salmon 'douillette, do not prevent from admiring the architectural style of the church and the town hall place du Grand-Cloître. Without forgetting a difficult memory, where it is said - in place of the Clos Ferbois college - that "here, 1,700 people were deprived of their freedom between 1939 and 1945, including Gypsies, Resistance fighters, refractory and marginalized people". Jargeau is now looking forward to a bright future.
