CAMPING DE L'ISLE AUX MOULINS * *
Camping with games for children and nice bars and restaurants in Jargeau.
Because Jargeau is a town bursting with charm, camping de l'Isle aux Moulins gives you access to pure marvels: first of all, the banks of the Loire, one of perhaps the most beautiful parts of the Loire (the Loire Valley at Jargeau is a UNESCO World Heritage site for a reason!), a welcoming little beach that comes alive in summer with music and children's games, friendly bars and restaurants, the church of Saint-Etienne (formerly the Collégiale Saint-Vrain), a famous monument in the Johannine town of Jargeau, the Oscar Roty museum (a famous 20th-century engraver, famous for his engraving of the sower character on franc coins and early 20th-century stamps)... and much, much more. Jargeau is also renowned for its andouille sausage (the real specialty of local restaurants and delicatessens) and its carnival, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2010 (to be discovered every February).
