Crossed by the Canal d'Orléans, Combreux is a forested village. Its incredible neo-Gothic château (16th-19th centuries), imposing and finely crafted, was the hunting ground of the kings of France. Surrounded by a moat, it is still dedicated to the venery led by the Duc d'Estissac. It can be seen from the D9. The more inviting Etang de la Vallée is a great place to relax, and is even suitable for swimming. The pretty surroundings of this area provide the perfect setting for a picnic on the banks. A pleasant bike ride to the Belvédère des Caillettes allows you to admire the Orléans forest.
