THE MARTIN MILL
A typical mill, located near the castle and an imposing pigeon house at the 1 200 boulins, on the left bank of the Bandiat, the Martin Mill is part of a beautiful architectural ensemble, property of the lords of Javerlhac. It is equipped with a wheel at the beginning of the th. In 1892, a tenant contract reported a flour mill and oil mill. Until 1927, the mill remains the property of the Famille family. From the beginning of the th century, the Martin Mill seems to have ceased any activity, but it lost its essential functions. Became a residential house, it was bought in 1985 by Marie-Ange Manem. She undertakes restoration work to restore life to the mill. Today, the mill works at the request of individuals and manufactures walnut oil. Next to the mill, on the old seigneurial estate, a pigeon house is erected.
