Savigné was fortified in 1559 by his lord Jacques du Bellay with the financial support of Catholic King Francis II. In 1971, a coat of arms was created on this statement and the main street that crosses Savigné from east to west was named François II, and the town hall square, Jacques du Bellay. It is an old fortified village where you can discover the church (15th-19th century) with its wooden bell tower and the castle of La Roche-Racan, built in 1636 by an academic priest, Racan.
