In the east of the département, on the border with Loir-et-Cher, Céré-la-Ronde is a pretty little village of 450 souls in the heart of the Loire Valley. It's home to the Château de Montpoupon, one of the department's most remarkable châteaux, listed as a Monument Historique. This privately-owned château has been inhabited by the de la Motte Saint-Pierre family since 1857 and is open to visitors. You'll also discover the museum of venery. But this is not the only treasure of the commune, which also boasts a church dedicated to Saint Martin de Tours, one of Touraine's great historical figures. You're also close to Chenonceau, Montrichard, Montrésor and Beauval zoo.
