Located in the heart of the Loire-Anjou-Touraine regional nature park, Bréhémont is a small town of 750 inhabitants. Like many communes in Touraine, its history is particularly connected to water: the Loire on one side, the Indre on the other and, in between, numerous streams and rivers. They contribute to a rich ecosystem, completed by a preserved nature. This proximity to the waterways allowed Bréhémont to develop the hemp trade. A culture which earned it its reputation and its golden age until the middle of the 20th century. Finally, fishing has also had an important impact, providing a living for many families in the village.
