It is the most important town in the Brenne Regional Nature Park. The upper town, dominated by the Naillac castle (eco-museum), has kept its medieval houses, notably in the rue Grande and the place des Hautes Tours. The lower part of the town is the very active shopping area, around the church of Saint-Génitour and the Place de la Libération. You can admire the 14th century Augustinian convent, the 19th century town hall and the 18th century Aubébin quay. The bridge that links the two parts is recent (19th century). Following the flood of 1530 which washed away the bridge, the passage was made by ferry for three centuries. Walk on Wednesday and Saturday.
