The wooded banks of the Auvézère serve as a framework for this village all along its length. The Cubas church, dating from the 12th century, is a former priory chapel of nuns. The cornice of sculpted heads is a real comic strip. In the cemetery, the 13th century lantern of the dead is a rare building in the Dordogne: this 6-metre column is dominated by a cross. While a deceased person was being watched over, a lighted lamp was held there. In the village, the grocery store the green ear is held by the inhabitants, and it does not take a margin! It is both participative and associative, it is managed in turn by the members themselves: good plan!
