FÊTE DE L'ANIM

Created by the association Les Rencontres Audiovisuelles, this event highlights animated production in all its forms and creates a dialogue between the worlds of film, digital arts and games. Every year, the Animation Festival invites the best European animation schools that compete in creative challenges (Mapping workshop on building façades, Animation Marathon and Grafik Battle). But the Anim Festival is not only for professionals. It is also open to the general public through numerous screenings, conferences, master classes and other festive evenings. The Animation Festival also offers the Children's Village with fun and educational activities and screenings for the whole family. The various events take place in Lille, Roubaix, Tourcoing and Valenciennes and highlight regional production, with the Noranim and Les Films du Nord groups in particular. Not to mention the Video-Mapping Festival held in March, which enhances the city's heritage, projecting images that are both surprising and magical. Yes, now we can say that the capital of Flanders also has its "Festival of Lights"!
