SCI

Created in 1920 by Pierre Ceresole, the Civil International Service participated in the reconstruction of France after the First World War. Now its mission has adapted to the new emergencies, and SCI organizes workshops for environmental preservation, restoration of buildings and social character, mainly in developing countries (but not only!).

What do they propose  ? SCI proposes all types of workshops: environmental project in Colorado, social work in favelas in Mexico, construction or restoration of buildings, plantations, etc.

Where  ? 30 countries worldwide (Europe, America, Asia, Africa…).

Profile and Conditions: there are some teens. Shipyards in Africa, Asia and Latin America are reserved for over 20 years. For some, it is enough to be major. The trip is the responsibility of the volunteer, plus a participation of 150 € and compulsory membership (€ 15). On the other hand, it will be housed, nourished and insured. The rate is degressive (€ 90) from the second workshop in the same summer.
