ATALAYA DE ALBERCUIX, KNOWN AS THE "TOWER OF FORMENTOR"
Read moreLocated at the beginning of the Formentor Peninsula, it dominates the sea and the road leading to Cala Pi and further to the Cabo Formentor. At the end of the sixteenth century, it was erected almost 400 m above sea level to monitor the coast visited, very regularly, by Turkish pirates who came to plunder the villages surrounding the area. To visit it, you must reach the parking lot of the Creueta miradors. A trail leads around the tower in about 25 minutes. From there, a wonderful view of the coast.
