Chilkoot Trail is this mythical hike that was used by gold diggers who came to make their fortune in the north during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896-1899. It begins in Dyea, Alaska and ends in Bennett City, on the Canadian side. It takes between 3 and 5 days to complete this walk, which has its share of surprises in store. We venture into rocky and steep terrain in the heart of the mountains, then into forests where it is not uncommon to encounter artifacts from the gold rush. There are also two other highlights during this unique experience: the ascent of Chilkoot Pass, which reveals breathtaking views, and the admiration of Bare Loon Lake, where the splendid landscapes are reflected.
