French and Spanish find themselves in this great area, which does not always. There is a petrol station that, if you think of billboards, emits the cheapest petrol in the region! In the same area, several shops have elected, Norauto well stocked in spare parts for cars, Bike-Sport and Decathlon and a McDonald's. In the Commercial gallery, the barge can haunt 60 different shops, ordered according to the same criteria as in France. The La Bretxa shopping center has a fresh produce market, a supermarket and stores. Every morning, small producers display their products on open-air stalls. You will find an impressive selection of local products. This historic market was designed by architect Antonio Cortázar and later expanded by José de Goicoa. It takes its name (The Breach) from the place where it is located, having twice seen invaders enter the city through a breach created in the city walls.

Every Sunday morning, the Plaza Nueva fills up with passers-by and the curious at its Sunday market. Under the arcades of the square, about fifty stalls sell records, books, old toys, and even fish and birds. It is also the meeting place for fans of cromos (trading cards). On this day, the bars in the square are always full; it is customary to have an aperitif with rabas (fried squid).

Situated in front of the Zurriola beach, this bakery is the meeting point for those who worship good bread. Excellent cakes and madeleines at the counter (including an absolutely divine brownie!), coffee prepared according to the rules of the art, and above all beautiful country bread balls make the reputation of the place. In the basement, the "Bistro" area is popular with local hipsters for brunch and delicious sandwiches. Several addresses throughout the region, including in Irún (Colon Ibilbidea, 50) and Zarautz (Zigordia Kalea, 12).

Asier, Amaya and Nerea inherited their passion for wine from their father. In their beautiful boutique in the Parte Vieja, they offer a vast selection of national and international wines, with no less than 1,000 references! Of course, Spanish wines are at the top of the list, and are accompanied by a wide variety of gourmet products: Iberian cold meats, canned tuna and anchovies, foie gras, olive oils, etc. Good to know: the house regularly organizes wine tastings on its premises. This establishment has its origins in the market of La Bretxa, where for a long time Aitor Lasa's parents devoted themselves to selling the farm's products. With the taste of the land as his heritage, the son has therefore maintained the family tradition by creating this delicatessen renowned for its artisan cheeses, especially those made from Latxa sheep's milk. Among its careful selection, you will also find seasonal mushrooms, apple jelly, Iberian sausages, dried fruit and wines.

Since 1886, this pastry shop has been a reference in San Sebastián, with five establishments throughout the city (the Parte Vieja is the most famous!). Today, the third generation of the Otaegui family continues to delight gourmets with its traditional Otaegui panchineta, a cake made of puff pastry and cream, covered with small pieces of toasted almonds. The house is also famous for its homemade turrón, huesos de santo (literally "saint's bones", made from marzipan), Russian cake and Basque cake.

Since 1860, this establishment has been offering ice cream, turrón andorchata (a Valencian drink made from tigernut juice) to gourmets. Founded by a family from the village of Jijona, the birthplace of turrón, the establishment is now run by the sixth generation. In addition to a wide variety of turróns, it offers many other sweets during the winter: polvorones (crumbly cookies), marzipan figures, candied fruit, chocolates and cavas... In the summer, you can enjoy their homemade ice creams with multiple flavors.

Located on the ground floor of the Mendibil shopping centre, this charming covered market is very well stocked with cheese, vegetables, fruit, fish, meat and delicatessen. Here you won't be out of the ordinary, as many of its customers come from Hendaye, and even from Saint-Jean-de-Luz, to buy anchovies, olives or croquetas. Among its many stalls, don't miss the butcher Zubikoa, whose selection of Bellota ham is a marvel. Be patient, however, as it is often crowded in front of his stall.

This family business has long been linked to the traditions of the sea: at Maisor, we are fishermen from father to son. At the dawn of the ^21st century, the family started producing canned food. Anchovies in oil or vinegar, white tuna and mackerel are canned in a traditional way. In its premises located in the port of Guetaria, the company offers workshops for the preparation of anchovies and tastings. Above all, you can stock up on excellent canned anchovies, tuna, sardines, etc.

Traditional house founded in 1924, famous for its famous tiles (tejas) and cigarettes (cigarillos) from Tolosa, sold in pretty metal boxes. It was Luis Eceiza, son of the founder, who imagined these delicious biscuits for the restaurant Asador Julian! You can also try the "bombas", a kind of doughnut filled with custard or whipped cream, which the locals enjoy for breakfast and snacks. The house also offers a fine selection of turrones, most of which are chocolate-based!

This market is an unmissable event in the Basque Country, where the reference prices for each product are established every week! Since 1512, local products have been sold every Wednesday, and the streets of Ordizia are filled with the aroma of local produce. Stalls selling local fruit and vegetables, Idiazábal cheese, lamb, etc. are grouped together in a large hall built in 1925 in the Plaza Mayor. Special fairs are held there (see calendar).

Its location as a crossroads between Navarra, France and Castile has favoured the economic development of Tolosa. The Saturday markets are very lively: fresh produce at the Mercado del Tinglado, along Calle Solana, near the river, the flower and plant market in the Plaza Verdura, and textile products in the Plaza Euskal Herria. The Tinglado Market, built in 1899 and recently renovated, forms a beautiful architectural ensemble. Underneath their metal structure, people come here to buy good local produce, especially the famous beans!

The prestigious pastry shop from Saint-Jean-de-Luz has been treating Donostiarras since the summer of 2017, with the opening of this branch in the Plaza de Euskadi, opposite the Santa Catalina Bridge. As in the 1895 mother house, Basque delicacies, turrón and chocolates are served here. Among its specialities: the divine muxus, soft sweets made from crushed almonds, similar to macaroons; the kanougas, delicious soft and melting caramels; but also the Basque cake with almond cream or black cherries!
