Bilbao's metro network currently consists of three lines. An easy and very safe means of communication, the metro serves all the towns on the right bank, from Plentzia on line 1 to the capital's Casco Viejo, including Getxo and Sopelana. Line 2 goes to Portugalete, on the left bank, as well as Barakaldo and Santurtzi. Line 3, inaugurated in 2017, connects the centre with the northern districts of the city. It is from this station that the regional trains Euskotren leave in direction of Hendaye or Bilbao. The "topo" goes to Hendaye between 6am and 9:45pm (two departures per hour) and at night from Saturday to Sunday (with a departure every 2 hours). It also connects Donostia to Bilbao, but the journey is much longer than by bus: count on about 2h30 of travel, against 1h15 by bus... A new topo station "Centro-La Concha" should be opened soon.

The Salinas d'Añana Salt Valley, located 30 kilometers from Vitoria-Gasteiz, is one of the oldest salt factories in the world, with over 6,500 years of history. Its salt is renowned for its purity, coming from an ancient sea over 200 million years ago. This spectacular, well-preserved cultural landscape is one of the most remarkable in Europe. Visitors to the Vallée Salée can discover the unique architecture of this unusual cultural landscape, stroll along the platforms where salt water is evaporated to obtain salt, and even soak their feet and hands in the salt water. The Salt Valley is also known for its unique ecosystem due to its salinity. In addition to the salt factory, Salinas d'Añana is also home to important archaeological remains from medieval times, as well as the Palacio Torre de los Varona, a citadel inhabited since the 12th century. To get to the Salt Valley, we recommend taking the bus from Vitoria-Gasteiz.

San Sebastian, a city located in the province of Guipuscoa in Spain, offers a convenient and reliable cab service. Inaugurated in 2016, the new San Sebastián bus station is located right next to the train station, on the banks of the River Urumea. Several bus companies travel around the country from San Sebastián. Connections with Bilbao, Irún, Bayona, Tolosa, Logroño, Pamplona, Santander, Oviedo, Santiago de Compostela, Pontevedra, Vigo, A Coruña... The connection between Bilbao and San Sebastian is provided by the Pesa company and takes 1 hour and 10 minutes.

This small airport, located about 20 kilometres from San Sebastián, at the entrance to Hondarribia, offers only domestic flights to Madrid and Barcelona. These flights are offered by Iberia and Vueling. There are numerous Lurraldebus bus routes to the neighbouring municipalities of Hondarribia, Irún, Rentería, San Sebastián, etc. By car, it takes 20-30 minutes to get to the centre of San Sebastián.

Also known as Estación del Norte, this is San Sebastián's main railway station. Inaugurated in 1864, it is served by national and international lines, as well as by Cercanías regional trains to Pasaia, Tolosa, Beasain, Legazpi... (line C1). The "Y vasca" project, a high-speed line from Vitoria-Gasteiz to Bilbao and San Sebastian on the French border, is scheduled for completion in 2027.
