Fairs and exhibitions New Aquitaine

The association Romances à Dienné was created in 2021 and organizes, in collaboration with the town hall, the literary fair dedicated to all types of romances. The fair lasts 2 days and welcomes about a hundred authors, local, national and international, as well as 9 publishing houses. During this event, you can meet your favorite authors and discover new ones. You will also attend round table conferences and readings by authors. Julie Dauge, author and president of the association, makes it a point of honor to collaborate with several local actors, in order to make this festival even more beautiful. The pupils of the school of the commune work all year long to make bookmarks, the association of floral art takes care of all the decoration of the commune for the event and the committee of associations is in charge of the restoration on the spot. A free shuttle is also available for authors and visitors to reach the fair from the Poitiers train station. A fair where the key words are meetings, discoveries and exchanges!

In summer, La Rochelle never ceases to vibrate! The Francofolies festival gets the locals singing, but there are also many popular events, including the braderie. As every year, at the end of November and at the beginning of December, the village of Monflanquin celebrates the Saint-André fair. This fair has been in existence since the creation of the Charter of Customs of Monflanquin in 1256. Once again the programme will be rich and diversified throughout the weekend with musical animations, a carnival, exhibitions, a handicraft market, etc.

For over 20 years, the brown has been honoured every year and in all directions with Beynat. Dawn at sunset, entertainment, demonstrations and tastings will delight children and adults, professional and curious. The "giant" (chestnut cake) is one of the main features of this award-winning annual fair and its division at the end of the day is a moment symbolic and friendly awaited.

In this fair that has been run for over 28 years, beekeepers book the star. Each year, more than a dozen exchanges with visitors on their expertise, their knowledge of the local fauna and flora and exhibits their products: variety of honey but also derived products such mead, the royal jelly, nougat, gingerbread, sweets… Workshops are presented by local artists: pottery, trompe-l'oeil painting or old machines and tools made of wood.

The traditional Chèvres goat's fair stands at the foot of the abbey for 40 years during which its success has never wavered. A free event that allows you to enjoy the beautiful animals, to taste and buy regional products (cheeses, wines, sausages…). Grills and refreshments are offered by the party committee. Not to mention the famous wine fountain!
