France's first independent bookshop is from Bordeaux! Founded in 1886, it's no longer a household name, recognizable by its beautiful blue storefronts. Over an area of 2,500 m², you'll find almost 180,000 references in all fields. Since 2016, the venue has expanded with the creation of Station Ausone, a new 300-seat space at 8 rue de la Vieille Tour, which hosts conferences, exhibitions, book signings and concerts. Nearly 350 events are organized every year and broadcast live on the website.
