TISSAGE LARTIGUE 1910
Read moreThis house has an exceptional ancestral know-how, 4 generations have succeeded each other at its head since 1910! The Tissage Lartigue 1910 brand was created, according to Philippe Lartigue, "in total respect with tradition and in accordance with our time and its ecological concerns". To do this, Lartigue products are "raw from the loom" without any chemical treatment of the fabric. Here, the history of Basque linen is told, from tradition to the secrets of the seven stripes. The workshop is open to visitors for a discovery of the looms and seamstresses in action, a small bathroom corner and the collection that goes with it, a kitchen corner with a staging ... Manufacturing its pieces on site and benefiting from a unique craft know-how, the brand is unavoidable and largely exceeds the borders of the Southwest and France. The last weaver faithful to the Basque tradition, Lartigue 1910 offers a factory outlet dedicated to tableware and kitchenware, superb tablecloths and napkins, bags, cushions, kits for a surprisingly high quality decoration and fabric by the meter. A great success with now 6 stores : Ascain, Bidos, Bayonne, Biarritz, Espelette and Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and the obtaining in 2020 of the GI Label " Linge Basque " attributed to the companies which have a particular know-how and guaranteeing the origin of the linen produced in its workshops.
