This former coaching inn, located just before the entrance to the village, offers traditional Welsh and British cuisine, much appreciated by the locals, in a delightful setting. The menu is varied, but we're melting for salmon and Cajun spices... Nice decoration made of bric-a-brac and broc between thick walls that keep warm! Reservation recommended. They also have a few rooms available: all very beautiful and charming. Some even have a spa bathtub for maximum relaxation. We love the atmosphere.

The setting is absolutely delightful between large glass roof and beautiful garden! You can come to drink tea, taste their homemade pudding, discover the afternoon teas... Everything makes you want to take your time here. If we want to eat, we settle down and choose among the different options: light lunch (with creamy ciabatta with mushrooms, soup, quiche...), a selection of sandwiches (mayo chicken, shrimps, ham and tomato...), wraps... Very good value for money.

Large country style pub and restaurant. Popular with the locals because of the warm atmosphere, the more than good food and the reasonably priced beers. You can eat there every night until about 8:30 pm, afterwards you come for a drink. We come here to get the traditional dishes of the pubs: fish & chips, nice piece of beef with its sauce, fries and peas as an accompaniment. Or a lamb moussaka, curry, burger, lasagna... The products are local, it's simple and good.

Yr Hen Fecws, which means bakery in Welsh, is open for tea time. The owners decided to give a little lightness to the menu. Perfect for simple, but gourmet lunches, in a friendly and warm setting with a large fireplace, wood panelling and small slate as set of tables. A test.

This old 18th century pub, all in stone, is an address not to be missed! Extremely pleasant to drink a beer or eat a bite to eat. Fresh fish and lobster are often on the menu! For dessert, you can enjoy a homemade brownie, a crumble, a Belgian waffle or a choice of ice cream. You can also opt for a sandwich type snack. The place also offers a choice of breakfast. Very popular in the area, as it is also within walking distance of pleasant walks along the port and beaches.

We're in a great location, right in the center of Barmouth, a few meters from the beach and plenty of parking. A pleasant setting for this hotel restaurant, featuring Welsh lamb and locally caught fish. In summer, you can enjoy a pint and a fish & chip at one of the many tables on the street-side terrace or in the courtyard! In terms of accommodation, the rooms are a little old-fashioned in terms of decoration, but very comfortable and clean, they offer the minimum.

Nata & Co is Cardiff's best-known Portuguese bakery! It offers Portuguese pastries, including the famous pastéis de nata, and delicious bread rolls. Pastéis de nata are cream pastries - a kind of pastry flan in round form - with sugar and cinnamon, which can be eaten cold or warm. Takeaway service for excellent fish & chips, the flagship of British fast food. Fans should definitely try the Rock & Malt, as this is clearly purist street food. For the French fries, they use only the Maris Piper variety, a British classic! By the way, if you're not nearby during your stay in Cardiff, you can also have an excellent fish & chips delivered via one of the meal delivery apps, or why not try one of their curries!

Cardiff Castle welcomes groups and tourists to enjoy medieval evenings. You can dine as it was in the Middle Ages, surrounded by costumed musicians playing harps and other traditional instruments. For your information, the price of the menu also includes a mead tasting, 3 courses and half a bottle of wine. Beautiful space with exposed stonework. One of the best cod & chips of our trip, with creamy, perfectly cooked fish, pea purée, tartar sauce and coleslaw with homemade dill. Copious, you need to be hungry to get to the end of your plate. There's also a choice of snacks: focaccias, sandwiches or burgers. Children's menu with choice of pasta or burgers. A fine selection of whiskies. You can stay in one of the five rooms available upstairs. They're really very pleasant. Bonus: good breakfast.

Since 2001, The Shed Seafood has been a small, relaxed but extremely welcoming bistro overlooking the fishing port, offering freshly landed fish and shellfish daily just a few meters away. It doesn't get much fresher than this! On the menu, tasty iodized cuisine. A particular highlight: fish & chips in all its forms, with variations on different fish such as cod, haddock, hake or monkfish tail... Super terrace, very pleasant in summer or when the sun is shining.

The origins of the Britannia Inn date back to the 17th century. Now run by the Botchett couple, this popular establishment on the port of Aberdovey is renowned for its iodized cuisine, especially its crab salad. We also love smoked salmon, mackerel and smoked haddock. Very good Cajun chicken for a change. When the sun is shining, we hurry to the terrace overlooking the Bay of Cardigan. As for the rooms, they are very pretty, cosy and comfortable, some of them with a superb view of the bay.

On the banks of the Usk, this charming 200-year-old "country inn" is a gourmet stopover to plan on your itinerary. Well known in the area, Adam Whittle's restaurant - chef rewarded with two Rosettes - offers classic Welsh cuisine prepared with the best local products and a touch of modernity. Certainly the oldest building in town, the most picturesque pub. This is where you meet all the locals and fishermen who will be delighted to make fun of the English with you! The pub takes its name from Jack, a black slave captured in Africa and who landed in Caernarfon in the mid-18th century, probably the first person of colour to be seen in Wales. As in the fairy tales, he married a Welsh woman and they had many children (seven)! We eat very well at this address. Really, it's worth it!

The inhabitants of Beddgelert are very proud of their ice cream parlour, which has been making its own products since 1970. He welcomes all suggestions for developing new recipes. Today, he has more than twenty-five fragrances to offer you. Moreover, he has won numerous awards for his ice creams in general or for specific flavours in particular (notably banoffee, mango, rum raisin, vanilla, chocolate...). A wide range of delicious pizzas can also be found on site.

A small tea room-restaurant near the river, on the site of a 14th century stone, Y Gegin Fawr (meaning "great kitchen") was once the rallying point for pilgrims before they crossed the sea to Bardsey Island. It is now a very pleasant place to stop, with its small round tables and beams decorated with beautifully painted plates. On the menu among others, crab and lobster according to the season, selection of sandwiches, soup... And until 11:30 am, you can also enjoy a hearty breakfast.
