Organized by the chef Babette de Rozières, the festival L'Ile-de-France fête ses restos is an opportunity for a hundred or so partner municipalities to offer a free pitch every Sunday during the summer to restaurateurs who wish to do so, and in particular to those who do not have a terrace. This may involve the provision of a forecourt or a street made pedestrian for the occasion. The aim is to encourage the people of Ile-de-France to go and enjoy good food in the open air, and for the restaurant owners, it is a great opportunity to offer better reception conditions. Establishments that are not open on Sundays will be able to take part provided they make a commercial gesture to customers. In order to create the perfect atmosphere, street shows, concerts and open-air bread events will also be offered. At Clamart, Bobigny and Noisy-le-Sec, the initiative is a good way to revive a sector that has suffered greatly from the health crisis. More information on the Ile-de-France Region website
