Where to make pottery - ceramics Lorraine

Anaïs is a passionate self-taught artist who creates mugs, bowls, plates and teapots. She welcomes you by appointment to her workspace to show you how her ceramics are made, or to take part in a three-hour workshop where you can make your own tableware. This is enough time to create 2-3 ceramic pieces. Participants enjoy both the manual work and the soothing effect it brings: the concentration and pleasure of modeling clay is a relaxing experience.

If the dress does not make the monk, the address does the profession. Christian Krumeich, a potter's craftsman, welcomes you in his potter's house and proposes, in addition to welcoming you in his guest rooms, to introduce you to salt sandstone pottery through the courses he organizes. It is an opportunity to truly immerse itself in the world of pottery or to initiate it while enjoying the beauty of the region.

Valérie Lanciaux offers courses for adults, teenagers and children. The Workshop of the Fabio allows you to initiate or improve in all activities related to pottery practice: modelling, filming, enamelling, cooking…

The Al Terre Native association offers courses and courses of ceramics, with Céline Desor-Laurent, a ceramist. In the programme: introduction to many techniques including Raku. The exhibition hall features ceramic creations.

In Chaource, the Association Artitude 10 offers two interesting activities for art and ceramics enthusiasts. Firstly, every year they organize the Ronde des Feux, a festival of ceramics, art and fire. This original event takes place on a two-hectare natural site, between woods and meadows, and offers a magical atmosphere thanks to installations, animations, shows, music and lights. Over 200 artists and young talents take part in the festival, sharing their passion and know-how with the public. The association also offers a discovery tour of the Ronde des Feux site, with visits to the clay quarry, the wood-fired kiln park, an exhibition and demonstrations of ceramic techniques. This guided tour allows visitors to discover the artistic world of ceramics in an exceptional natural setting.

The website of this pottery workshop, 100% local and handmade as it claims, is just as playful as its inhabitants. The workshop creates traditional stoneware and porcelain pottery, but also has fun creating stars, animals and flowers. Here, it's a colorful circus, with small pieces that awaken interiors. You can take part in the workshop, or register your children for other workshops. We work with clay for an hour and a half, for around €25: your little one leaves with his work, while we pamper him and offer him a snack! Get ideas....
