The point of Bayeux, used from the th century, is an art that Chantal James masters beautifully and teaches during her courses and embroidery courses. It reproduces scenes of the famous Tapestry, but not only, since Chantal applies the technique to other, more contemporary media. So you've been warned: if you take a first paragliding flight with Plaine Altitude, you're in for a repeat offence! The team of instructors - Hervé, Samuel, Maxime, Philippe, Évelyse, Dorian and Emma - is as dynamic as it is passionate. The course, on the seafront, invites you to a world tour in 18 holes! A unique journey that we owe to Jean-Marc and his family. In the bar, the photos attest to these three generations (since 1956) of passionate and inventive mini-golfers. The terrace above the bar offers an unobstructed view of the course, the beach, and the trawler's cabin where the ticket office has been installed. Laughter guaranteed in this Cabourg institution, almost a historical monument!

A place at the end of the world, facing Mont Saint-Michel: you are at the Avranches aeroclub. That day, under a beautiful winter sun, the view is superb, the sheep are there too, sometimes even on the runway. On the spot, a flying school, possibility to make initiation flights, or baptisms. By microlight or by plane, it's up to you to choose the way you want to take off. On-site, a bar open to all, a beautiful terrace to admire the ballet of small planes.

Created by the cooperative Les Copeaux Numériques, the Kaleidoscope is what we call a third place. Located in a wooded park of 2 500 m², in the former entrance pavilion of the Chartreuse Saint-Julien, the Kaleidoscope is built around several spaces accessible to all: a FabLab, coworking spaces, a photo lab, and a cultural café. You can come and learn how to use a 3D printer or to develop photos. Exhibitions and events are also organized throughout the year. Don't hesitate to ask about the workshops.

Discover the world's smallest approved golf course, just outside Bernay town centre! This 100% eco-friendly 9-hole golf course is located on a Natura 2000 site and is committed to responsible maintenance and management, including the use of sheep and ponies for mowing, with no chemicals or water consumption. The 1,381-metre (par 29) 9-hole course is complemented by an 18-hole Pitch & Putt course, both certified in 2011.

As soon as you arrive, you are overwhelmed with emotions full of authenticity. When you arrive, you are first blown away by an incredible panorama of the coast and even the Channel Islands on a clear day. But, if you are here, it is also and above all to live a golfing experience. Created in 1912, the design of the golf course, entrusted to Harry Shapland Colt, has nothing to envy the most beautiful Irish courses with its two "links" of 18 and 9 holes unique in France. In addition, the golf clubhouse offers a very good restaurant, with perfectly prepared dishes.

Women, men, young people, little ones, everyone is welcome at ASRUC Rugby! On the plateau of Mont-Saint-Aignan, the place is very pleasant. Synthetic pitches save you from the winter slush, and the good-natured atmosphere remains animated by the spirit of competition. You should know that the best girls play here, including internationals! A well-appointed terrace allows you to enjoy the sunshine while watching the other sportsmen (tennis, hockey, football) and tasting the menu of the Au Club restaurant.

Saint-Sauveur is a green resort with a leisure centre not to be missed! The presence of the Douve, one of the most important rivers of the Cotentin, allows the practice of canoeing and kayaking. For an hour or a day, you will discover the surroundings along a peaceful and sportive course. And that's not all, because you can also enjoy climbing, archery, mountain biking or orienteering in the middle of nature.

It's so nice to be able to swim in the open air, summer and winter, in this beautiful and almost brand new Olympic pool! The same goes for the diving pit. For those who are not so keen, the 25-meter indoor pool with its eight lanes and the activity hall with educational pools are ideal for both athletes and swimmers. There is a choice of aquagym, swimming with flippers, baby swimming and lessons against aquaphobia. Solarium and bubble bath are also available!

A charming port of call, Honfleur's seaport is divided into three basins, including the Vieux Bassin reserved for pleasure boats. The port also welcomes old riggings. With a capacity of 50 berths, including more than 30 visitor berths, the Vieux Bassin is accessible via a lock for boats less than 14 metres long. One of the particularities of this port is that it is both maritime and fluvial, given its location in the Seine estuary, between the river and the sea.

Bright and dapper - it was completely renovated 4 years ago - the Chemin Vert municipal swimming pool is located in a quiet neighbourhood. Schoolchildren come here on weekdays, but there are a few slots for the public, early in the morning, usually at lunchtime and in the late afternoon. Private and group swimming lessons for children and adults are organised, as well as a wide range of activities: baby swimming, aquagym, prenatal swimming, aquajogging, aquaphobia courses, swimming with flippers, aquabike... At weekends, it's the place to be for families in a very friendly atmosphere.

A must-see along the Saline, this facility with its resolutely contemporary exterior design faces directly out to sea. The reception offers a gentle immersion in the marine world, while the decor and, above all, the immense glass roof with its sea view set the tone. Sports pool, leisure pool with waterfall, play lagoon for the little ones with slide and equipment, outdoor river, pentagliss: the center offers a real panoply of entertainment.

Just 30 minutes from Rouen, this beautiful leisure park is ideal for walks, sports and swimming. Around the Mesnil and Deux-Amants lakes, you'll find a waterski lift, canoe, catamaran or paddle, 18-hole golf course, pétanque, table tennis... For lunch, there's a picnic area where barbecues are tolerated; otherwise, Le Nautic brasserie offers a choice of dishes. New features include a brand-new 18-hole mini golf course and a pentagliss open in summer!

In all, three zones make up the site: an aquatic centre with a Zen pool, a learning pool, a whirlpool, mineral beaches and an outdoor sports pool; a fitness area with a cardio-training room and group classes (bodypump, aquafitness, aquabiking, pilates, stretching); and a spa (hammam, sauna, hydro-massage showers, outdoor solarium, cabin treatments). While adults enjoy a swim or a thalassotherapy treatment, younger guests can take to the river against the current or go down the slide.

Welcome to the Kindarena, Métropole Rouen Normandie's sports complex! This building, designed by urban architect Dominique Perrault, who is responsible for the Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris and the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, is located in the western suburbs of Rouen. With a capacity of 6,000, it hosts all major national and international sporting events, including the Harlem Globetrotters, the French Gymnastics Championship, the Davis Cup and the Perche Elite Tour. Several local clubs are affiliated with the club.

Lake Caniel is a site for the whole family. On this 70-hectare leisure base, you will have access to many activities: water skiing, skate park, summer tobogganing, kayaking and pedal boats. On the northern part of the lake, the ski lift allows the novices to have fun while the confirmed ones do a demonstration of aerial tricks. On the mainland, the site offers an indoor play area with bowling and billiards. Allow a full day to enjoy everything. On site, there are a variety of food and beverage options. Ideal for a relaxing afternoon.

Over 47 kilometres between Evreux and Pont-Authou, beyond the Neubourg, the Green Lane allows, thanks to its coating, the practice of walking, cycling and roller, to the exclusion of any motor gear. Created on the old line SNCF Evreux-Honfleur, it allows hikers to oxygenate in peace of mind. The former Gare station, rehabilitated, hosts the Tourist Office, located on the route of the Green Lane, halfway between Evreux and Le Bec Hellouin.

While the club's track record is rich, its original family spirit remains unchanged.

Signposted from Varengeville, this footpath goes around the Bois des Communes, a peaty moorland which extends over about 15 hectares. Restored 10 years ago, it is home to a particular flora, including several species of heather and gorse, drosera or insect-eating plants. Plants typical of wetlands such as sedges flourish there, as well as a very rich fauna of insects and rare species of butterflies. Interesting to visit.

The Chantereyne aquatic centre offers, in addition to its elevated pool which allows you to get close to the masts of the boats in the neighbouring marina, a relaxation area (whirlpool bath, hammam, sauna) for luxurious relaxation at a low cost. In summer, the large solarium, sheltered from the wind, will be a pleasant end to your break, whether for sport or for well-being. In the morning, the view of the sunrise over the port is sublime. A few dozen meters from the town hall, the aquatic center also has many free parking spaces.

Do you want to have fun and drive this little go-kart? Unique in Normandy, the Caen Karting awaits you. Flaming tracks, beautiful grandstand, club house with terrace in the summer, open all week long and possible nights: it's for sure, you'll camp there! To make you feel like it, we'll explain the tracks to you: the Monaco, to have fun on 550 m of asphalt at the wheel of 270 cc vehicles; the Monza for the initiated, 800 m to be covered on board of 390 cc cars; and the Jaussaud, 1,100 m long, guaranteed sensations!

The most central of the havraises pools, located opposite the train station. It's also the largest with a small children's pool, and a large 25 m pool for swimmers, which can also use the 5 m and 10 m plunge. Water garden on Saturday morning for children between the ages of 3 and 6.

Open since 2012, Aquanacre remains an architectural, ecological and innovative success. In terms of equipment, this 4,000 m² complex is very complete. The aquatic area delights the youngest with its paddling pool, its play pool (with geysers and swimming against the current!), its huge four-lane slide and its new 70-metre tubular slide. For experienced swimmers, the sports pool awaits you. Then, the outdoor pool, heated to 30°C all year round (in Normandy, it's better!), makes its little effect.

There is no lack of interest in the Orne department. Watercourse in the heart of a hilly and wooded landscape or small bucolic river is nature fishing! On the menu: fario trout, rainbow trout, shade, carp, pip, pike, and even crayfish. 4,000 km of rivers and 150 ha of selected water bodies and lakes regenerate floating-line fishermen, launch, leaded, live, fly… Finally, you can also bark and shovel against a balance (and gloves!) to fish the crayfish of California in the Gourbe near Bagnoles-de-l 'Orne.

During the hot summer months, which are not uncommon in the south of France, the Mortain swimming pool is very popular. From June to August, you can enjoy its open-air pool and paddling pool, as well as a pleasant garden with a children's play area overlooking the Cance valley. Swimming and aquagym classes are offered regularly, and prices are very attractive - not to say very low. A place that children, as you can imagine, love.

This aquatic centre will satisfy all swimmers: from the 6-month-old floaty, thanks to the session designed for the little ones, to the older ones who will be able to choose learning, improvement, aqua training or aqua gym courses. It is also a play area with a slide, a relaxation area with a nice Zen area: bubbling bath, sauna, and hammam. The centre also has a beauty care area. The schedules are wide, and the prices low.

8 km from Vire, a 43 ha lake (swimming prohibited) for fishing and water sports activities. These are offered from March to November by the leisure centre: windsurfing, catamaran, rowing, kayaking, pedal boats and paddleboard... Ask for information at the MJC of Vire. Also on site, several hiking trails, including a 6 km trail that allows you to walk around the lake, as well as a 10 ha bird sanctuary that allows you to observe no less than 86 species of animals (ducks, coots, snipes, grebes...). Let's go green!

Energetic stopover for escape seekers! A visit to the D-Day landing beaches is always an emotional experience, and thanks to Aurélien and Valentin, it's one that goes hand in hand with sporting thrills. Our duo offers free or accompanied quad rides: one hour with a photo stop, two hours to the cliffs of Tracy-sur-Mer, the artificial harbour and the battery at Longues-sur-Mer, or three hours with a visit to the American cemetery at Omaha Beach. A welcome without fuss, days full of surprises and good humour.

Located east of the city, this vast area is always full in the summer! On the seaside, you will find here all the seaside and leisure activities that will allow you to spend a beautiful day. The vast sandy beach, supervised in summer, gives you the opportunity to enjoy swimming. Slightly behind, vast spaces of grass allow you to bask. The restaurant and swimming pool complete the ensemble.

Put on your rollerblades, helmets and protective gear, and come and discover this original, even madcap sport that's all about respect. The atmosphere is gothic, punk, rock and gore, as evidenced by the names of the teams: the Croque-Morts, the Faucheuses and the Veuves Noires. Derby calls for technique, commitment, speed, fighting spirit and team spirit, like rugby on wheels on Halloween night. Women make up the majority of the membership, but the club also has a men's team and welcomes rookies from the age of eight.

Sailing in the city is possible! To do so, head for the Caen Yacht Club sailing school. Once the administrative formalities are over, 6 sailboats (J80) are at your disposal and you can go for two hours on the Caen waterways. With family, friends or colleagues, whether for pleasure, improvement, maneuvers or even a regatta (!), accompanied by 3 crew members and an experienced skipper, sailing will have no more secrets for you! And you can complete your practice by theoretical courses, top!

As of April 4, 2022, the Océane city can boast of having a Kitesurfing school led by an international champion! Samuel Michaille, winner of the Engie Kite Tour 2019, offers, this spring, to beginners as well as advanced, to practice their passion with experienced instructors. But the kite, what is it already? It's a paraglider-like sail connected to a surfboard in which the wind takes all its power to make you jump on the waves... Let's try !

You will find this very nice area in the immediate vicinity of the castle of Torigny. If you can rent a boat to go for a ride on the small lake, the heart of the offer is the possibility to enjoy the accrobranche. Among the proposed courses, one of red color, the other of red and black color (as in skiing!) according to the difficulties. Children are not forgotten, and benefit from an offer just for them. You are obviously in full safety here, and ready to let off steam!

Fishing enthusiasts will not miss this place where there are seven ponds that will allow them to enjoy their favourite leisure.

Near the old spa station, Danièle Fabbri offers you walks, equestrian games, horse riding and club ponies. Five training horses and ten Malthusian ponies are at your disposal for horseback riding lessons, dressage (on horseback or career) and outings in the Bois wood.

Already 38 years old in 2024 for the Conta workshop, quite a longevity for this quasi institution. The courses are given there, since 1986, by Jean-François Conta, graduate of the École Supérieure des Arts Modernes et du Design Contemporain de Paris please! Friendly and relaxed atmosphere, here we sketch, and especially we progress in the various techniques throughout the year. Classes for children but also adults, summer workshops, and the possibility to rent a gallery from Friday to Sunday evening to exhibit one's works as a budding or confirmed artist.

With some 1,600 students, 105 teachers in 41 disciplines, almost 200 free events each season, 46 classrooms, 3 dance studios, 15 studios for students to work in, 2 auditoriums and a documentation center, the Conservatoire de Caen offers a wide range of artistic disciplines from the age of 6. With registration or an entrance exam, you can progress through different courses right up to the final diploma. The Conservatoire is also home to the Orchestre de Caen and the Saison Musicale.

This "spot", located next to the Lycée Malherbe, is well known to urban skaters. Ideally located so as not to disturb local residents, the park comprises four modules with platforms, mini-ramps, inclined planes and sliding bars. The park welcomes skateboarders, BMX riders and rollerbladers, experienced or beginners, in complete serenity. And because riders are becoming increasingly numerous, the long-awaited rue d'Auge skatepark is set to open in summer 2023! Larger and more modern, it will also be accessible to scooters!

Close to Caen, this superb 92-hectare playing field is equipped with a practice range and a total of 27 holes. Between wooded and hilly parts, it offers beautiful spaces to experienced golfers as well as to beginners. The club's sports association offers courses and competitions throughout the year. The golf restaurant La Caentee'n is an ideal stopover and welcomes golfers and strollers in this beautiful environment. The first time, you will look at the others and then the desire will quickly titillate you to "hit balls" or "make a bucket".

On the equipment side, Petit Dan stables have two rides (one of 42 x 20 m, the other of 30 x 20 m), a career of (40 x 20 m), a spring garden, and a safe road. On the disciplines, we find all those of traditional horse riding: selle, team games, manoeuvring and address paths, dressage, obstacle, cross, Amazon courtyards, or coupling, and aerobatic. All under the watchful eye of Yannick, the director, and Céline, the state graduate teacher.

Located on Caen Harbour in the city centre, Canoe Club Caen offers canoe and kayak classes of different types.
