Just 10 km from the city centre and easily accessible by car or bus, Caen Airport is attracting more and more passengers every year. It is a small jewel of the Cotentin Peninsula, which has earned Barfleur regular recognition as one of the most beautiful villages in France. In the heart of the city, the port bears the name of the famous Norman shipowner who distinguished himself in the 16th century by initiating great expeditions to the Americas and Africa, thus enabling him to make his fortune with the import of spices, ivory, and redwood. The port of Dieppe was expanded during this period, and its maritime vocation was never denied. Bombarded by an Anglo-Dutch fleet in 1694, it was destroyed. By order of Louis XIV, Antoine de Ventabren undertook its reconstruction. Vauban and Trudaine enlarged it. Today the port offers 530 berths.

Accessible when the door is open, and therefore depending on the tide, the port of Saint-Vaast has several hundred moorings, including a part reserved for passing yachtsmen, which sail along the superb Cotentin coastline. Ideally located, it is not off-centre, unlike many other ports. As soon as you disembark, you can enjoy the active life of the port directly - and Saint-Vaast's is undeniably so. The well-situated harbour master's office is the nerve centre of the whole.

The second marina in the department after the department of Cherbourg, the Hérel in Granville, has several hundred rings. Ideal place of departure or arrival for pleasure boaters, it is located in the immediate vicinity of the centre of Northern Monaco and its activities. Accessible at high tide, the basin is the result of a water restraint carried out using a table door. The Granvillais port has the equipment to repair and maintain your boats. From here, you can easily reach Saint-Malo at 25 miles or Jersey, only 30 miles away.

Cap Cotentin is all the lines that crisscross the peninsula, even offering a train service between Cherbourg and Valognes. In concrete terms, this means urban lines within the capital of the Cotentin and interurban lines on the peninsula. Within the next two years, the network will even include several bus lines with exclusive right-of-way in Cherbourg, for which work is progressing well in the city. Various attractive fare offers make it easy to find your way around financially. Tickets can be purchased online or at the sales office.

Pleasure is one of the many features of the port of Fécamp, managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Local Industry. Labelled Blue Pavilion, it includes no less than 800 berths, forming one of the most important in Normandy. There are 230 berths in the basin, 510 in front of the port, and 75 for visitors, always in front of the port, that are offered. The proximity to the city centre makes it a stopover.

Caen station is served by mainline Intercités trains and regional TER Normandie trains. Mainline services cover Paris-Saint-Lazare, Cherbourg, Le Mans and Tours. Regional services include Rouen, Cherbourg, Granville, Saint-Lô, Coutances, Lisieux, Alençon, Le Mans and Rennes. Within the city limits, the station is served by a cab service (Taxis Abbeilles), the Twisto network (city bus and tramway), Bus Nomad, managed by the region (intercity service), and a bicycle rental service.

Walking enthusiasts, make the most of your crossing by taking the dike-road, the last step leading to the Mont.

Free of charge from Rouen to Barentin, it becomes a paying road for the Barentin-Yvetot section. The concessionary company of the A150 has recently joined forces with SAPN, the concessionary company of the A29, in order to offer a very interesting subscription for home-work journeys, with reductions on tolls that can reach 40%.
