The Kann Al Loar festival is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to discover the vitality of Breton culture in Landerneau. Since 1987, artists from all horizons have been performing to bring Brittany to life through music, song, theater and dance. Far from clichés, the festival promotes both traditional and modern forms of artistic expression. September weekends are great for strolling and bargain hunting! In Rennes, the biggest braderie is the one on the Canal Saint Martin, where you can lose yourself in the local streets or stroll along the banks filled with people and vendors. The "Foire aux objets insolites" is launched at this flagship event of the Rennes year. It's true that this is France's second-largest braderie, after Lille's, and it's a source of great pride in the Breton capital. Organized for the first time in 1968, this annual garage sale attracts over 200,000 bargain hunters along the Canal Saint-Martin, in search of a rare object, a golden bargain, a toy for the kids, or simply a stroll along the canal. The stallholders offer surprises and items from their attics, some of which are highly unusual, others totally surprising. Although the Braderie du Canal is an institution in the Rennes town square, it has lost some of its lustre over the years: for security reasons, the perimeter has tended to shrink. But it's still a must for shopping, strolling, drinking, seeing friends, eating and having fun. The people of Rennes love this long day in September, which sounds like a reminder of the vacations and whispers in their ears the imperative need to take time out and indulge themselves at very reasonable prices.

Undoubtedly the festival of Saint-Loup is the oldest feast of Brittany, indeed its origins date back to 1850. Today it is deployed to the sound of bombardes and binious ou or kozh during the second half of August. Since 1957, it has become the indispensable meeting of the Breton dance. Each year under the aegis of Kendalc'h, an organization bringing together Celtic circles, is the national competition of the Breton dance. On six days dancers, musicians and not least, find themselves between the Vally and the Place du Centre for a hot dérobée. As for the excellent Jean-Pierre Ellien, one year on the other for a number of decades, he remains the main player and masterpiece of this festival.

A lord all honour, Gouel year Erer Kozh, more known in the Hexagon and Europe under his French name of festival of Old Ploughs. Eighteen years of history, eighteen years of success, originally an idea of three friends. The Summer Festival Festival is a youth festival, designed by young people who are offered to those on Rennes in the heart of the summer. Every year, Brest hosts a bagadoù contest organised by the Assemblée des sonneurs Bodadeg Ar Sonerion. The first round takes place at Quartz, and the following rounds in the other Breton departments. Each bagad offers a continuous flow of Breton music of a region or a determined territory for ten minutes. At least half of these performances must be made up of music to dance. In 2015, the event will celebrate its 66th edition.

Would you like to dance with your feet in the sand? Les Électros de Quiberon is the electronic music festival of the beaches of Quiberon Bay. Supported by the Hermine Records label, it offers several dates throughout the summer. Each evening features artists from the electro scene. Some evenings are free and others cost 5 € per admission.

If you're a oyster enthusiast (finally depending on the season of course), here is a hike that will take you to the mouth… From the port of Belon, this 9-kilometer trail leads you to Pointe de Penquerneo through the famous oyster parks of the Belon River. Seventh edition of the night trail la dans in its playful formula with two distances to the program, one 9 km «La Ptite Nétei». Considered one of the most beautiful trails in France, the TBM, as it's known, offers three distances (20, 37 and 57 km), which stretch along the GR34 coastal path, bordering the beautiful Brest harbor. Starting out from Plouzané, the trails are technical, with a constant boost and a breathtaking view of the sea! And let's not forget that this trail is convivial, both for runners and those accompanying them! Please note: if you'd like to take part in one of these races, register early, as the Bout du Monde trail is very popular!

The Combat festival offers, during three days, several sessions of short films selected and organized into themes. Meetings with professionals are offered for rich exchanges with the public. Anchored in its territory to enhance its value, this film festival has everything of a great and asserts itself in the region, in the land, as an original, qualitative and open cultural offer for all. It's in a magical setting of races in nature Landes & Heather, Cap d'Erquy - Cap Frehel. The Grand site Cap d'Erquy - Cap Frehel, the Grand Site Cap d'Erquy - Cap Frehel, covers 4 communes and belongs to the European Natura 2000 network.
