Paramaribo's public swimming pool is open to the public every day, and also offers swimming lessons (with summer courses). However, over the years, the pool has deteriorated... That's why the association has decided to launch a project to make VOS shine again. The project is scheduled to run for four years, from 2023 to 2027. In the near future, it should reopen. The pool isn't very big, but it's superb with its fake rocks and waterfall. A good option if you want to have fun with your kids! The resort also offers many other activities, such as Saturday morning yoga classes ($10, registration required). On weekend evenings, the complex comes alive and it's not uncommon to have DJs: take advantage of the fact that admission is often free. More info on their Facebook page.

Withe beach has its own resort (as do many places in Suriname), but what a resort! From luxury cabins to hammocks, this nautical base provides all the comforts you need for a refreshing break. Swimming in the river is safe and protected by a pontoon. But there's also a swimming pool in the resort! As for the restaurant, you can enjoy a delicious local dish or a fresh juice with your feet in the water. Don't hesitate to come at weekends if you're looking for a bit of entertainment.
