Alberto Miranda, a native of Príncipe, knows all the dive sites of the two islands well. This experienced diver organizes safe diving trips and first dives with a good pedagogy, providing confidence and assurance. The diving club is a member of the international PADI association, thus meeting international standards. It also organizes tours of Santana Island and kayak, paddle and Optimist trips. It is also possible to see whales and dolphins during the migration season between August and October.

The beach of the 7 waves (praia das sete ondas) is a popular spot for surfers, but also for beginners who come to take their first waves. The only club in São Tomé, run by experienced surfers, offers courses for all levels on this black sandy beach, located after Agua Izé. You can also rent boards and equipment for underwater fishing. Since 2013, the club has been organising championships in mid-July that bring together young and old on the island. A festive and authentic atmosphere guaranteed!

Dive Tribe has a diving base at the Hotel Pestana in São Tomé. You'll be welcomed by a friendly, professional team who know the dive sites around the islands inside out. This PADI and SSI-certified school offers courses for divers of all levels. For beginners, there are introductory courses with pool dives before a first dive in the ocean. More experienced divers can work with an experienced guide to discover exceptional fishing spots at depths of up to 30 meters.
