There is no time difference between Sweden and France. Sweden adopts the same winter and summer time.

Most of the museums are open every day, between 10am and 6pm, with opening times varying according to the season, public holidays and school vacations.

Enjoying yourself Sweden

The schedules of the Swedish meals are rather different from those of France. At noon, we eat from 11am to 1pm, and often a light meal. Dinner is served from 5pm, and most Swedes have finished eating before 6pm in winter! Most bars and restaurants are however open every day and will serve you food outside of these hours.

Most cafes open around 9am and close between 4pm and 6pm. For bars, opening around noon and closing at midnight or 1am.

Most stores are open from 9:30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, and until 2 or 4 pm on Saturday. Many stores are also open on Sunday. In large cities, some department stores stay open until 8 or 10 pm and on Sundays. Large stores are open every day, often until 9 or 10 pm. In small towns, stores and gas stations close at 6pm. Offices are closed on Saturdays and on the eve of holidays.

Bars and pubs close for the most part between midnight and 1am, while nightclubs close around 3am, so it is advisable to start your evening early if you want to have time to party.
