The best accommodations Nicaragua

Former colonial house of the th century that Luca, a francophone lover of the city and his trade, renovated. A few blocks from the Central Parque and close to the pedestrian Street «La Calzada» where the owner has two restaurants. A total of 11 rooms and an apartment, all equipped with a private bathroom with WC, good orthopaedic mattresses, air conditioning and fan, TV and free Wi-Fi. The duplex apartment has a kitchenette, a living room and a bedroom. A good address like you like, relaxed, clean and cheap.

The services of the hotel are numerous but of poor quality. Furthermore, cleanliness and organization are not the strengths of this establishment.

Very good hotel in the center, hosted by Sandrine and Benjamin, a couple of very professional French. It is located in a well-restored colonial house with a green patio and a beautiful swimming pool. The rooms and suites are spacious, clean and well equipped. The buffet breakfast is considered. Booking recommended.

Thought for backpackers and revellers. Anglo-Saxon ambiance and numerous entertainment are organised in the evening. Organized tours are offered (for some, alcohol glasses are offered!).

At this price, on the beach, it's a good deal. The rooms are simple but decent, and open onto a porch where hammocks are hung. The atmosphere may be a little bleak compared with the hotels that follow, but the price makes all the difference! Only breakfast is available on site. For a bite to eat, consider the equally rustic comedor next door. Occasional Wi-Fi in public areas. Bikes and scooters can be rented in the surrounding area. Casa d'Olas Hostel is a 2-star hotel located in San Juan del Sur. The hotel boasts panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and an infinity pool. Rooms are clean and comfortable, some with fireplaces. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and a restaurant is also available on site. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to downtown San Juan del Sur. Wi-Fi is free throughout the establishment. Casa d'Olas is a little way from the city, so you can enjoy a quiet, peaceful environment. However, the city center can be easily reached by shuttle bus. Guests particularly appreciate the magnificent views, family atmosphere and tranquility of the location.

An aberration. The rooms have been arranged in spite of common sense, so a couple can be found in large rooms too luxurious to be pleasant on such a relaxed island (carpets, etc.), with other beds (one would think in a dormitory). No charm and extra prices. The restaurant is in the tone. Shame, the site deserved better. In the meantime, the institution has "biological" only the name, since nothing seems to confirm its ecological provisions. This is at least the starting point to arrive at the San Ramón waterfall.

Building collapsed. What a pity. With a little patience and imagination, the hotel would be one of the nicest on the island. The rooms are modest but have private health facilities. The paint is flawed. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, close to the train station and the train station.

The rooms are narrow but comfortable, nothing to criticize. We would still not spend his life in health care. Better taste than some addresses in the same price. Note: Rooms 4 and 5 are the most recommendable, the other two doubles having no window. Restaurant on the floor.

A place where you feel good.

The Casa Royale hotel, with its large pool, view of Bluefields Bay and large rooms spread over four floors, is a more upscale option for travelers on a budget; it is indeed a little pricey. Although the rooms are not the most modern, they are spacious and clean. The restaurant serves good food, mainly seafood, and also overlooks the bay... in short, with its lovely view and swimming pool, it sets itself apart from the other establishments in town.

This conveniently located youth hostel (close to the pier) offers dormitories for up to four people, as well as private rooms for two, with shared bathroom facilities. A fully-equipped kitchen is also available, as well as a lounge and common areas. All clean and comfortable. What's more, the owners are very friendly and welcoming; they'll answer any questions you may have and will be happy to point out the best places to eat and go out in Bluefields.

This small hotel has six rooms for 2-3 people, each with its own bathroom (fans only, no air-conditioning), as well as a shared kitchen and a lovely little garden. Decoration is minimal, but that also explains the very affordable price. The owner, Danilo, is very friendly and can help you organize your stay on the island. Very well located, close to restaurants, shops and the port of Moyogalpa. Please note: payment in cash only, and no breakfast available.

A beautiful, colorful and well-maintained youth hostel, a twenty-minute walk from the center of Moyogalpa. It comprises 4 eight-bed dormitories, each with its own locker and lamp. The top floor features a bar, kitchen and even a bubble bath! All with a breathtaking view of the lake. The friendly staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have. A young, trendy atmosphere. Bananas and chillies are grown on site. A must on the island.
