Ethiopia from the sky is possible thanks to this serious company, which offers hot-air balloon flights from Addis Ababa or Debre Zeit. Departures are at 6 a.m. to take advantage of the sunrise. After the balloon has been inflated and the team leader (20 years' flying experience in the Netherlands) has reminded them of the safety rules, the crew (maximum 10 people) climb aboard for a one-hour flight over the capital and the Ethiopian countryside, with a glass of champagne. Breathtaking views and a feeling of total freedom!

These thermal baths are located in the grounds of the Ambo Ethiopia hotel. A vast pool of natural hot water, produced by volcanic activity in the area, welcomes a few passing bathers. These curative thermal waters are only suitable for those who don't care too much for the transparency of the water, which is rather greenish due to the minerals in it. Even if it's regularly renewed, it's not very attractive. If you stop here, you can take a dip for a few birr. Note the pretty fig trees in the vicinity, which shade the site.
