Natural site to discover

Darre Zang is a 40 m high waterfall. It is a pleasant place to walk and picnic. Take the road that leaves north of Maïmana, towards Shirin Tagao. At Bel Cherag level, turn right for the Gurziwan valley. There are numerous picturesque villages nestled in walnut forests. Just under 9 km, before arriving at Sarchakon, the road crosses the river and climbs towards the valley. Then we arrive at the cave of Ghar-I-Gusfand Mordeh. The road is magnificent, especially the last part that gremlin between the noiseraies.

Attention, it is strongly recommended to go to 4 x 4.

CHILZINA, OR THE FORTY STEPS

Natural site to discover

It's a cave carved in the rock. 42 steps lead to the top, where this small dome shaped in shape of a dome is located. A piece houses persian inscriptions attesting to the Mughal conquest of Kandahar by Babur and commemorating his victory. On the road to Hérât, on the right of the road, you can see the mausoleum of Mir Waïs, founder of the Ghilzaï Empire.

THE LAKES

Natural site to discover

The first turquoise lake that you see on the right is Reducing. And, surprisingly, there's not just one… but six. From east to west: ., Pudina, Panir, Haïbat, Qambar and Gholaman. Gradually, as the car moves forward, the lakes appear like tehip before the amazed visitor. The two largest are Reducing and Haïbat. Panir is the smallest, it is only one hectare. It is possible to drive by car to the main lake, Band-e-Haïbat, paying 100 AFA at the dam. Around this lake, the sanctuary of Ali. The mineral water of the lake is famous for its miraculous properties. A lot of pilgrims come to bathe or go home a little in a bottle. Band-e-Panir (lake of cheese) is left of the sanctuary. This is the smallest in the series. Right next door, Band-e-Pudina (mint lake), also small. The largest lake, Band-e-Reducing (the lake of Ali's sword), is 6 km long. It's the lake that you see from the plateau when you arrive. Band-e-Qambar is located between Gholaman and the sanctuary. This lake is shallow. The best way to appreciate this natural wonder is to walk by foot. A small path bypasses much of the site. Those who love hiking will be happy.
