BUFFER FRINGE FESTIVAL

This contemporary arts and performance festival takes place on the "bangs [of the] buffer zone" of Nicosia. It has been organized since 2014 by Home for Coorperation, an organization campaigning for dialogue between Cypriots and itself based in the buffer zone, at Ledra Palace. Plays, performances, exhibitions and conferences are held on site and in both parts of Nicosia, sometimes in other towns. They can be accompanied by visits to certain areas of the buffer zone that are usually closed.
