This multi-storey shop is full of fashionable clothes, cookery books, beautifully made souvenirs, really nice decorative items... And an excellent children's department. In short, one of the best places in town to find an original and quality gift to put in your luggage. The store also has a Vintage Market Floor (vintage accessories section) and a very pleasant café on the top floor, where you can taste some great vegetarian inspiration at an excellent price-quality ratio.

THE WINDING STAIR

Bookshop €€

A soft nostalgia floats between the shelves of this bookshop, famous meeting place of the great Irish writers and intellectuals in the 1970s and 1980s. Today, this bookshop has since reduced its stock. However, it still has a certain charm, with its offer of second-hand books and its superb and well-stocked children's department. You can also have a coffee in the window, facing the Liffey. The lucky ones will dine at the eponymous restaurant that now occupies most of the establishment.

PENNEYS

Fashion store
4.3/5
6 reviews

Know that Primark's story began in Ireland in 1969, under the name of Penneys! The English decided to change the name because he was too close to another sign in England, namely JC Penney. That's why in Ireland the shops are called Penneys, but make sure the offer is similar to the famous sign. Men's clothing, women, children and accessories are sold at ultra-minis prices. If you want to fill out your dressing room without paying too much, you're in the right place.

ART JAM FACTORY

4/5
1 review

In the heart of Temple Bar, this pretty shop is full of original handicrafts, jewellery, posters, screen prints in the colours of Ireland and many ideas for souvenirs or decoration. Of course, all the artists exhibited in the gallery are Irish, and mostly from Dublin. The Little Wise Guy was particularly taken by the work of the artist Tara O'Brien, which is full of humour and roundness. An address that is really worth a visit, if only for the smiling welcome. Online shop too.

This brand has several stores in Ireland. In addition to beautiful sweaters, scarves or thick socks, it sells all the souvenirs and trinkets that it is possible to bring back. At the top of the shelves, you will find the famous Jameson and Guinness merchandise (t-shirts, glasses of all sizes, bottle openers, magnets...), FAI (Football Association of Ireland) clothing, polo shirts, scarves and rugby balls, but also the unavoidable O'Neill's cookies, traditional Irish music records, a lot of I love Dublin items, etc.

BROWN THOMAS

Fashion store €€
3/5

The Brown Thomas shopping center is THE Irish reference for chic and glamorous women's fashion since 1849. This department store, a sort of local Galeries Lafayette, is the most famous in the city. You will find all the big international brands and designers (Chanel, Tiffany's, Louis Vuitton, etc.) as well as Irish designers. It's beautiful, it's stylish, but it's really not cheap... except during the sales when prices are really broken! See you then in January and in June-July in particular.

The very competent staff will advise you among a very good choice of novels that you can't necessarily find in the big bookshops nearby. On the first floor of its beautiful Georgian building, Book Upstairs has a charming café and tea room where you can read or attend literary events organised by the bookshop. An institution.
