Martine Gold's new light installation 'All we need is light' is inspired by Asian sand mandalas, which she presents in Annex 22 in a glass pavilion that evokes the way they are exhibited in Asia. The shape of her installation is derived from the radial symmetry of the mandalas: rotating around its axis, the light spreads from the centre outwards in different directions. Up to 16 million different shades can be pre-programmed and generated by the individual LED bars, adding the extra dimension of a pulsating movement
