Time difference Morocco

Since 2018, Morocco no longer changes time and remains on its summer time all year round (GMT+1). In winter, it's the same time in Paris and Rabat. In summer, when it's midday in Rabat, it's 1pm in Paris. During Ramadan, however, Morocco switches to the GMT+2 time zone.

Opening hours Morocco

To see / To do Morocco

Museums are generally open from 9am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 7pm. However, these times vary from one place to another, and it is best to enquire beforehand. Some close on Sunday or Monday, while others remain open every day, except on religious holidays.

Enjoying yourself Morocco

Most restaurants are open from 12:00 to 3:00 and from 7:00 to 11:00 midnight. Some of them even serve throughout the day, others only in the evening. In tourist areas, restaurants are generally open every day. Elsewhere, they take one rest day a week, usually Sunday or Monday.

Take a break Morocco

Bars and cafés are generally open all day, from 8 or 9 am until 5 or 10 pm. People come there to start the day with a breakfast of flaky pancakes, tea or coffee and orange juice. They are also very popular with Moroccan families for snacks. The atmosphere can therefore be noisy.

(To) please yourself Morocco

The shops generally open from 9am to 12.30pm and resume after lunch at 4pm or even 5pm until an hour after sunset, just before the last prayer. But in Africa, nothing is certain and it is possible to find a shop closed in the middle of the day, especially at prayer times.

Get out Morocco

In seaside resorts and imperial cities, the nights come alive at weekends and sometimes during the week in high season. In the villages, nightlife is almost non-existent.
