The Coronation Inn is the place to be for the "young" in town. This probably has something to do with the fact that it is the cheapest pub in Alderney. Or not... Anyway, here you will see the children of those you met elsewhere, and those dreaming of elsewhere. Quite exotic and funny, we assure you! And the place is warm and cosy. In addition, an adjoining store of wines and other spirits will allow you to do some shopping and to bring back a small liquid souvenir at home. Cheers!

On the central square of Saint-Hélier, in the historic center, The Square is one of the capital's latest trendy spots for thirty-somethings. Modern and stylish, with its exposed stone walls and neon industrial decor, this establishment offers an attractive menu (including good burgers and seafood) and excellent cocktails. So it's with a Peach Bellini or a Pornstar cocktail that you can enjoy the live music on offer Friday and Saturday from 9pm to 11pm.

The White Horse is the pub which dominates the beach of the Havre des Pas and its large terrace is a godsend as soon as the nice days arrive thanks to its spectacular views on the sea. The decoration, rather modern and warm, is also very pleasant inside an establishment where you can sit down to eat some great classics (burgers, fish and chips, caesar salad, etc.) in pleasant leather armchairs or in a modern restaurant room.

Biere Atelier, cousin of the good table La Bastille located a few meters away, is a bar with a modern decoration and rather very popular on Friday and Saturday evenings by the thirty-year-olds of the capital. The main reason? The establishment proposes many good quality beers, in particular an excellent Purity. The local regulars and the few tourists who have had a flair for it also come here to watch the soccer matches or to enjoy the beer on special offer (which changes every month). The welcome is always very pleasant.

The Forum is a traditional English pub like you can find hundreds of them in Jersey, with its wooden furniture, its televisions to watch Premier League and Champions League matches, its pool table, its dart board, its juke-box and its slightly red-headed regulars. Nothing very original then. But, a little plus here, there is a very good selection of beers and especially a house beer (Forum Finest): a 4.2% ale, very good and very refreshing. We go there especially for that, we must admit it. Cheers!

It's hard not to see this nice little pub since it's located on the parking lot and thus at the entrance of the path that leaves for the very touristy Devil's Hole. It is therefore an ideal place for a cool break, especially since it has set up a place dedicated to children, the "Little Devils Play Area" where they can scream at will. The establishment is very popular with the locals for Sunday brunches in particular. It must be said that it is well known since it is one of the oldest inns on the island.

Located in the commercial and pedestrian heart of Guernsey's capital, this long and rather trendy pub attracts the thirty-somethings of Guernsey. As far as the menu is concerned, it offers quite simply the widest choice of beers on the island (with no less than twenty drafts available at the bar), and in particular all the productions of local brewers. Lovers of beers and a nice atmosphere (especially on weekends) should be delighted. On sunny days, the atmosphere is great on the large wooden tables of the terrace.

Project 52 is one of the trendy bars of Saint-Hélier which was founded by... 52 inhabitants of the capital and now regulars of the place too. An original approach for a place, located in a small alley of the historical center, which wants to be unique on the island. What is sure, it is that with its design style industrial chic, one feels really well there. We drink excellent cocktails and beers mainly craft, which can be accompanied by one or more pieces of excellent homemade pies. A nice address

This is one of the best kept secrets of the Jersey capital! At the Don, as soon as the weekend comes around, the shakers are brought out, shaken with talent and inventive cocktails are offered, always perfectly made by the talented bartender. In an intimate atmosphere, where the light is always subdued, do not hesitate to venture into this original establishment, discreetly nestled in a small alley of Saint-Hélier. The Don can also be privatized for the organization of events. Cheers!

A little away from downtown Saint-Hélier, on the road to Saint-Aubin, this small neighborhood pub has a very relaxed atmosphere with many regulars. And surprise: among the regulars there are many children! Indeed, at the back of the bar there is a small playground (nicely called "Treasure Island") with a plastic ball park. A good place to go at the end of a rainy day for the youngest (and those who accompany them!)

With its modern and design look in pastel tones, this beach club, just opened in spring 2022, is one of the latest trendy places on the island. We recommend coming here for a hearty breakfast or brunch, facing the sea, ideal to start the day. But above all, a few hours later, at sunset time, the cocktails are the promise of a perfect aperitif. For those with a sweet tooth, try the homemade cakes, so delicious! An address that will quickly become a must in Jersey...

The Saint Lawrence is a small, traditional, family-run pub right in the heart of the eponymous village: it didn't take much to lure us in on a late afternoon. And in terms of decor and atmosphere, it's all there. We love it, especially the little patio hidden away at the back of the establishment. And we're obviously not the only ones, as the place is often fully booked for dinner (it's not very big either). A nice stop-off on the way back from a walk to Saint-Hélier.

Here is a typical pub of the island of Jersey from which emerges a rather family atmosphere with its cohort of regulars that one imagines here since always, just like the DJ who performs from time to time on Saturday. For soccer fans, there are a few screens and, above all, this pub is the "home of Celtic" (the official haunt of the many Glasgow Celtic fans) on the island. On Wednesdays, it's usually karaoke night and on Sundays you can enjoy some good typical dishes prepared by the chef. We like the address very much.

Jersey Bowl is an 18-lane, fully automatic AMF bowling alley with Thai restaurant, bars and fast food. There is also a video game room, pool table and bowling store. And everywhere you look, there are screens to watch soccer and rugby games. Jersey Bowl also hosts many private and public events and special nights. Check out the website for more information. In short, it's the perfect place for a rainy afternoon with family and friends!

This pub is named after the hero of the Battle of Jersey, which took place in 1781 on this pretty square now shaded by many chestnut trees. It is in our opinion one of the best pubs on the island, especially for its very pleasant terrace and its good beers, especially the Jersey one, the Liberation Ale. You will not miss to sit there. The interior is up to the task, rustic and warm. Facing the very nice terrace, a large building houses the Jersey Parliament. A great moment in perspective.

The Cock & Bottle is unquestionably one of the city's best pubs. Not for the quality of its food, but for its airy ambience in summer (the place boasts a magnificent terrace) and its cosy atmosphere in winter (inside, warm by the fire, in an ambiance so typical of English pubs). We love the promptness of the staff and the colors, especially at sunset. A fine address in Saint-Hélier, ideal for watching time go by or rounding off a good day's walking.

The Havana Club is the oldest and most famous nightclub on the island of Jersey. Locals and tourists alike party here every weekend, from Friday to Sunday inclusive (most of the time), and, as far as music is concerned, there is something for everyone: from those nostalgic for the 1960s to the 1980s, to lovers of house or drum'n'bass, to hip-hop, reggaeton and other dancehall fans. It is necessary to say that with three rooms and as many bars, there is what to make in this club. A good child and often overexcited atmosphere.

The Jersey Opera House is the most stylish theater in Jersey. You may not come to see a show, but rather to admire this fantastic building dating from 1922, a copy of the old building built in 1900 but unfortunately burned down. Under the imposing chandelier of the auditorium: classical music concerts, dance shows, but also much crazier shows, like the famous British musicals. The program can be consulted on the website.

You won't be able to miss it: it can be seen from everywhere. It's the largest and newest movie theater in Jersey with 10 screens. It's a multiplex with the expected features: comfortable and air-conditioned rooms, video and arcade games, the smell of popcorn and candy that invites you to consume it as soon as you enter; and no surprise in the programming: big American productions. It is cited for the long evenings of low season and the big showers (yes it happens from time to time!).

The Rojo is a hybrid place that offers several atmospheres with its vintage cocktail bar on the first floor, its roof-top to enjoy live music in the sun (when the weather is good of course) and its club in the basement to dance until very late in the evening. You can also enjoy good burgers, a small menu of snacks, and, more original, bratwursts, the German sausages. It is undoubtedly one of the trendy and very nice places of the weekend in Saint-Hélier. Notice to those who love long evenings!

The Mermaid Tavern is the only proper pub on the island. It is therefore without surprise the meeting place for islanders of all ages and certainly the best place on Sark to soak up the atmosphere once the day's visit is over. The atmosphere here is certainly delightfully offbeat, but nevertheless typical of a local pub with its games (darts and billiards of course!) and its very 1980s music. One will also note with pleasure the presence of a pretty terrace very practical when the summer points the end of its nose

This nice café is located in the open air on the roof of a building in the city center. And here is its main asset: the view on the harbor is really very appreciable, on nice days anyway. You can also take advantage of it to order a Thai dish or choose a dish on the go, between sandwiches, salads or filled potatoes. The tables are sticky, we are tight against each other, but the atmosphere is rather good for a greedy snack in the sun. A beautiful end of day in perspective!

The Doghouse is a musical pub as we like it and the promise of a great evening with music lovers and locals. Here, they program many different concerts (usually on weekends) on a stage that hosts the best music bands in Guernsey. Even though it's a bit far from downtown St. Peter Port, the Doghouse is often packed. It is also crowded on soccer and rugby match nights, which are broadcast on the screens of the establishment.

This is simply one of the best pubs in the port. One of our favorites for sure! The walls are decorated with pictures of sailing boats and speedboats and it's very pleasant to lean on this big round wooden bar to choose from a very nice selection of beers. There are also sports broadcasts on the days of the big soccer or rugby matches. On the top floor, the establishment hosts a restaurant with a superb view on the boats. And on top of that, the welcome is very friendly.

Here's a great plan to enjoy a nice summer evening in Guernsey! Every summer in St. Peter Port, the historic Castle Cornet offers open-air cinema sessions on a giant screen. On the program, recent films and great classics of the 7th art and especially a program that will suit the whole family. To enjoy it, you can sit on the lawn or bring your own seat. A very nice evening in prospect for the cinephiles!

This is a magnificent concert hall located in the Saint James church which offers a very eclectic program: a wide variety of events of classical music, jazz, exhibitions, opera, dance, theater, poetry readings, but also club nights, visual arts, etc. To know the program and all the schedules, inquire at the tourist office of Saint-Peter-Port or consult the website of the cultural center.

This beautiful, modern pub in downtown Saint-Hélier is always a hit. Whether in the dining room or on the small terrace, the atmosphere is family-friendly among regulars and visiting travelers. The atmosphere goes up a notch during the karaoke evenings organized on Mondays and Thursdays (to be found on the establishment's Facebook page) or the live music evenings on Fridays and Saturdays, while the rest of the time people come in after work or a good day out on the island's trails...
