An association with no shortage of ideas and good will to keep Corossol's traditions alive. Twenty or so members and numerous volunteers work hard around the president to keep the village vibrant. Since its creation in 1983, initiatives such as the Fête de Corossol in August, themed workshops, the Carnival... have been perpetuated. The aim is to promote and defend the village's identity, unify it and make it dynamic, while preserving its traditions (such as the patois still spoken).

The role of the SNSM (Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer) station in Saint-Barthélemy is to assist sailors in difficulty. It is a very active station, with a large number of rescue missions every year. In an emergency, the launch sails with its crew no more than 15 minutes after being alerted, and the intervention zone extends up to 50 nautical miles from Saint-Barthélemy. Crew members are out in all weathers (except during cyclones), and operations generally take place at night and in sometimes difficult weather conditions.
