From Saint-Tropez to Saint-Barthélémy via the Balearics, they often choose to reside on a yacht, in a luxury hotel or even in their second home! Heavily damaged by Hurricane Irma in September 2017, Saint-Barthélémy was slowly reborn from its ashes and opened up again to tourism. The one that has always been the jet-set island par excellence is the stronghold of Orlando Bloom or Salma Hayek who enjoy its splendid beaches and secret coves. It was also here that Johnny Hallyday took refuge in his huge home with his wife and two daughters

The island of Hvar is one of the jewels of the Adriatic. It is therefore quite naturally that the stars came to enjoy its bohemian atmosphere and the mildness of its climate. Beyoncé and Jay-Z even chose the first name of their daughter Blue Ivy as a tribute to the island's typical blue ivy! Hvar has sublime coves and sea caves where you can take refuge, sheltered from the paparazzi. This is probably what attracts the stars, who can still finish the day in one of the island's legendary beach clubs

The Balearics, celebration and idleness

This Spanish archipelago attracts many celebrities to its beaches every year. For a jet-set holiday, Ibiza has been the winner in recent years. Paris Hilton, Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo spend some time there, quietly settled on their yachts. Formentera, the smallest of the Balearic Islands, has remained more authentic. We meet Mariah Carey or actress Anne Hathaway there anyway!

The Greek islands have been coastal with stars in recent years, most notably Mykonos, in the Cyclades. This charming island, under the aegis of Dionysus, the god of wine, has become a true temple of celebration! In the 1970s, Mykonos was Jackie Kennedy-Onassis' favourite destination. This year, Kate Moss will be packing her bags there, as will Paris Hilton, a fan of festive destinations

Between the Atlantic Ocean and the Arcachon basin, Cap Ferret appeals to French celebrities for its calm. Pascal Obispo owns his recording studio there and was inspired by the setting of the Arcachon basin for his hit "Tombé pour elle (l'île aux oiseaux)" in 1994. Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet also often come to take refuge in their house, the director is shooting his next film Nous finirons ensemble au Cap Ferret

Its proximity to New York - 40 minutes by seaplane for the wealthy, or 2h30 by car - has made the Hamptons on Long Island one of the favorite vacation spots for American stars since the 1940s. Sarah Jessica Parker owns a sumptuous villa there, Jennifer Lopez, Mick Jagger or Robert de Niro often visit it: the Hamptons is a bit like Hollywood on the East Coast!

The mythical Saint-Tropez

How can we not mention Saint-Tropez, a seaside resort in the Var that is eternally associated with the image of Brigitte Bardot in Et Dieu créa la femme? Since the 1950s, the notoriety of this former small fishing village has literally exploded and every year crowds of celebrities flock to it. Sometimes neglected in favour of other more trendy destinations, Saint-Tropez remains a mythical stopover on the French Riviera and a must for paparazzi!

Lake Como, Italian luxury

The Great Lakes region stretches between Piedmont and Veneto, in northern Italy. Nicknamed the "sublime lake" by Stendhal, Lake Como is the third largest lake in the country. One of the first American celebrities to succumb to the softness of its shores was Georges Clooney, who owned a superb residence there. Today, Lake Como has become a haven for the Hollywood jet-set and it is not uncommon to meet Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise there

Cabo San Lucas, a star destination

In Mexico, two hours flight from Los Angeles, Cabo San Lucas is a paradise for American stars: Christina Aguilera celebrated her bachelorette party, John Travolta her 50th birthday and Arnold Schwarzenegger owns a house there! This former fishing village has now lost its former tranquility and has become the kingdom of stars in search of top-of-the-range services, in a dream setting

Between Florida and Cuba, the Bahamas make you dream. In total, this archipelago of coral reefs is composed of more than 700 islands and islets where everything seems to be done to satisfy the most demanding travellers: from white sand beaches to coconut palms and turquoise water.
