When to go Mayotte ?
Mayotte is a lively island all year round: in addition to the religious festivals, there is the season of big weddings or manzaraka (in July and August) and the many cultural festivals that punctuate the calendar (traditional arts festival, intercultural festival of Mayotte or cultural festival of Mamoudzou). For a few years now, Mayotte has also offered sporting events such as trail running, hiking and diving. Impossible to get bored!
It is possible to discover Mayotte whatever the period, but it should be noted that the island has two seasons.
The dry period or austral winter, from April to October, which is very pleasant, as temperatures are around 26 to 27°C during the day and a little cooler at night (at the lowest 20°C in July/August).
From November to March: it is the austral summer with hot and humid days. The advantage: the lagoon is calm and it is the fruit season.
