It is celebrated with pomp in all the villages. Every year, on Saint George's day, May 6, a festival is organized. This one, religious, finds however its roots in pagan rites. The population celebrates the end of winter and the arrival of spring. The date can vary slightly. Thus, in Prizren, it is celebrated on May 5 and in the village of Brutt/Brut, it is on April 23 (day of Saint George, according to the Julian calendar).
