HOTEL RESTAURANT KULLA E ZENEL BEUT

World cuisine restaurant €€

This is the only listed kula (fortified house) in the city that can be visited. This one dates from the 19th century. Very elegant with its stone walls, its fireplace and its terrace garden, it was transformed into a restaurant in 2013. By the fire or under the arbour, you can eat fresh cheese from Rugova, local meats and traditional Albanian cuisine, especially tavë. The establishment is now also a hotel with traditional rooms.

TARTINE

Spreadery

A French-inspired bistro-pastry shop where French is spoken. The female team that opened this cosy little address in 2016 concocts dishes unknown in these latitudes: tartines, quiches and savoury tarts with fillings based on seasonal products, such as an amazing nectarine-mozzarella-pesto mix. Good brunch at the weekend and plenty of sweet temptations too. The selection of cakes is truly vast and inspiring. The sandwiches, quiches and other salads to enjoy on the go are also very fresh and tasty.

AMBIENT

Balkan restaurant
4/5

This family-run restaurant has a beautiful view of the city. It is located slightly higher up, along the Prizrenska Bistrica and the road to the Marash district. The outdoor tables are set on steps following the slope. The restaurant also has a large room upstairs. Art deco atmosphere with a bright "stained glass" ceiling. Traditional and international cuisine with a good selection of salads, soups, grilled meats, pasta, pizzas, tavë, fish and seafood. Good service.

SOMA SLOW FOOD

Regional cuisine restaurant €€

This restaurant is really pleasant. Unique in the capital because of its slow food character, it proposes a traditional cooking, made of local products in short circuit and revisited in a very elaborate way. Cosy room, professional service (some waiters speak French). Here everything is home-made, from the dishes to the beer brewed on the spot, the Sabaja, without forgetting the raki distilled by the team according to the season. Even the plates are handmade by the team. The menu changes according to the season.
