The political organization for children aged 9 to 15 years, founded in 1946, is celebrated on that day. It aims at teaching the ideas of the Juche’s philosophy to the youngest (beyond the age limit, children can join the League of young Kimilsungiste-Kimjongilist). Children are generally accepted into the group and are inducted into the great festivals as on the feast of the Foundation of the Republic and receive their first nationalist badge.
