This is the best karaoke bar in Thimphu! All the youth of the capital run there in the evening. Formerly "the Tiger Club", the bar has been taken over and completely renovated, now offering a bigger dance floor and a more cosy space to relax. You are advised to go there for the music and also for the atmosphere, which is quite unique, as karaoke is almost a religion in Bhutan. You are sure to have a great time! We're very far from the western karaoke venues. Nice drink menu (try one of the beers!).

If you feel like dancing and seeing something other than drayang bar karaoke, head to Space 34, well known to locals for its wild dance floor. It's one of the best places to party in Thimphu at night. There are still karaoke rooms, you won't be able to miss them, but the live music and the bar are always lively. Wednesday night is ladies night: free entry for girls and eclectic music from all sides (American pop, Korean...). A place to try to get a taste of the Bhutanese nightlife.

In this restaurant integrated into the hotel of the same name, the atmosphere is rarely lacking and the food is rather tasty. As with many tourist addresses, the cuisine is rather international and unsophisticated: a few snacks, good burgers with fries (the yak meat burger is a must-try), and a few Indian dishes. On the walls, the king's portrait stands alongside sports jerseys, photos of Tiger Wood and posters of basketball players. You can also come just to have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere (and, why not, try your hand at karaoke!).

Sails, drapes and big wooden armchairs, not forgetting the giant screen, Om Bar mixes genres. Sports enthusiasts occasionally gather there to watch football matches. But a lot of young Bhutanese executives also go there in after-work sessions to relax after their day's work. The atmosphere is relaxed and becomes more hectic from 9pm onwards. We also come across some expatriates who have lost their way. A nice place where it is good to relax while sipping a beer or a cocktail "made in Bhutan".

A gallery-style, trendy and cosy café that you have to look for because it's a bit hidden. But once you get there, you're sure to be won over. You come there to drink a coffee (filter coffee, alas, espresso coffee is an extremely rare commodity in Bhutan), to taste a brioche (or a burger) or more simply to take advantage of the free wifi to check your emails. It should be noted that the owner offers every day, and at any time, a breakfast and a small lunch formula very nice. Let yourself be tempted by the Omu rice: amazing!

In just a few years, Karma's Coffee has made a name for itself: this is where you can find the best coffee in Thimphu. As a result, expatriates in need of caffeine are flocking here, as well as locals who have discovered something else than filter coffee! A few dishes and snacks are listed on a large slate behind the counter: momos or stir-fried rice. Gourmets will once again have a choice: slice of lemon cake, brownie, banana and walnut cake. Sweets, espresso, cappuccino... what more could you ask for? "What else"?
