Time difference Seychelles

Compared to metropolitan France, the Seychelles have + 3 hours in winter and + 2 hours in summer. There is no difference with Reunion Island.

Mahé's museums and galleries are generally open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, until 1 p.m. on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. The Victoria Botanical Gardens and the Vallée de Mai are open to visitors every day.

Enjoying yourself Seychelles

Beware, in general in the Seychelles we live with the sun. Breakfast is served between 7am and 9.30am. For meals, restaurants are open every day, generally from 12:30 to 2pm for the last order and from 6:30 to 9:30pm for the last order too. Takeaways are open from lunch to dinner without interruption, but close at 7 or 8 pm.

Mind you, you're not in Ibiza! Most hotel bars close at midnight. Some nightclubs extend the evening until 1 or 2 a.m. on weekends.

In general, shops are open from 9am to 4.30pm or 5pm (supermarkets until 7pm or 8pm) from Monday to Friday and Saturday morning until 1pm. The only shops open on Sundays are small grocery stores.

Get out Seychelles

It's not in the Seychelles that you'll be wiggling till the wee hours of the morning. However, a few night bars sometimes keep the party going until 2am on weekends.
